I ironed a fold into a seam strip while building 2R on an Atlin. Then, on the outside of the boat, I ironed a bit of the seam strip under the floor fabric (see pictures). I figured it was alright and applied sealant to the inside, but it’s been bothering me to at least attempt a fix while I have the opportunity (just started tube 1). Should I go back and fix things (reheat, gently pull strip off, re-iron into place) or will it survive as-is? What do I do about the sealant on the inside?

As far as I can see, neither of those looks bad enough to risk removal and rewelding. I would just coat them with Aquaseal and not worry about it, because everything else looks great. For the sealant on the inside, I would proceed as normal, just making sure to plug any obvious routes where air could escape. Cheers!
