Description
As of 2024, the standard weight packraft kits include ten D-rings.
Strong and light:
- Weight: 1.1 grams (0.04 oz) each
- Breaking strength: over 40 kg (90 lbs)*
- Unlike steel D-rings, they will not corrode
- Unlike aluminum and titanium D-rings, they do not have any sharp edges
- 10 D-rings per pack
*This is not a guarantee, just my observation. I tested several of these plastic D-rings by hanging them under a digital scale with a metal hook on the curved side of the D-ring and 25 mm (1 inch) webbing on the straight side. I then checked the breaking strength by increasing the force on the webbing until the D-ring broke. The breaking strength was consistently around 45 kg (99 lbs), and none of the tested rings broke at less than 40 kg (90 pounds).
