Sorry for the confusion – I guess I need to make this clearer somewhere (or maybe several somewheres).
The lighter fabrics (e.g. tube fabrics, seam strips, inflation bag fabric) are coated with TPU on one side only, and the woven fabric is exposed on the other side.
The heaver fabrics that are used the in packraft floors are coated with TPU on…[Read more]

Feeling more or less ready to start welding my first DIY packraft. I have this nagging question. When you are joining two pieces of fabric, is there a principal that guides how the…[Read more]

Confirming not-a-bot-ness… Have been on the fence about building one of these for awhile… Looks like every inflatable kayak I was alsocalso is sold out for the season, so that may tip me over the edge into DIY-raft land. I guess I have about 24 hours to research and decide to make the order deadline! 🙂

Hi Matt- I’m excited to get building my Skeena packraft. I got a Coverite Black Baron iron and it is working well. The instructions look great and it looks like a fun build. Thanks! Bill

There are lots of packrafting videos online, but most of them focus on the paddling and don’t show much of the hiking and camping part. I prefer videos that have a bit of a story to them, so I decided to try […]

I really like that video. Great pictures and good music and I’m with you, I also like this mixture of backpacking, nature and water. You have an awesome backyard!

Thanks! Yeah, I moved away from the city four years ago and I am very happy here 😀
