Hi,
anyone interested in buying Matt’s material IN EUROPE for making a sweet 210D yellow packraft with a black floor (Boston + top-up valve + PLANS for a large packraft included)?
I have finally decided not to make the packraft by myself. It is certainly possible (I made a seat and some demo seams) but I do not fully trust my skills and the ir…[Read more]

japan is 100V. clover mini iron is high-low version.
The cause of the puncture is lacking in the adhesion by temperature being low.
Because temperature was low, I improved a soldering iron.

After a sudden increase in orders last month (thanks in large part to my new friends in Fairbanks, Alaska and Midway, Utah!), I have nearly run out of red, yellow, blue, and black 210D fabric. I have changed the […]

Some people have been having issues with their Clover Mini Iron II not getting hot enough (especially the 240V version sold outside North America). If you’re in this situation you could try wrapping the heating element and/or shaft with aluminum foil to insulate it so more heat is conducted through the shaft to the foot. Most of the iron’s heat is…[Read more]

If you’re thinking of buying this fabric Hiroshi, then the general consensus here is to not buy it. Extremtextil have some very heavy tpu coated nylon which they describe as ‘high tenacity’, but all the others are not, and the fabric melts at almost the same temperature as you need for welding. Andreas says he will buy Matt’s fabric next time, not…[Read more]

I haven’t had much time to work on my raft (grabbing an evening a week with a friend to work on them), but I wanted to post up our last session on tie downs. We wanted to do these before closing our tubes so we have easy access the the inside to heat seat the tie down patches on well.
We did up a couple as Matt demonstrated. With the lighter f…[Read more]
