According to an information I got from from McNett, the maker of Aquaseal, exactly the same product is sold in Europe under the name Aqua Sure (to be found e.g on amazon.de).

Hi Everyone,
Just got my Skeena kit and am very excited to be here. I am a Youtuber “Influencer” whatever that means. But you will get to see my foray into the DIY Packraft world and hope to help Matt’s effort. This is going to be so much fun.
Take care
Bruce

I am summarizing my experiences with shipment to Germany and the customs process so that people know what to expect.
Once the Order shipped from Canada, I received a Canada Post tracking number. The parcel took 4 days to arrive at the main Customs office at Frankfurt airport. There it stayed for 11 days until on day 12 it started moving to a…[Read more]

In my photo darkroom I have a Seal tacking iron I use for dry mounting prints. It’s 145W and when it’s set on high it’s working really well for doing the floor welds. The bottom is teflon coated which is nice.
It is a bit too wide for the tube strips. I may be able to make it work but I have an aliexpress iron showing up any day just in case.

All this frightening news about the coronavirus pandemic is enough to make one want to pack a bag and take an extended packrafting trip deep into the backcountry – or at least hole up with some canned food and […]

Maiden voyage of a recently completed stock-length Voyageur. This is my second packraft, first was a V2 which works very well and gets a lot of use. This one had way fewer leaks! Cold day and cold water made it tough to keep it full of air, but it worked great. As Derek has mentioned in earlier posts, the Big Agnes Air Core fits per…[Read more]

I hesitate to recommend a DIY Packraft for unknown whitewater conditions… so much depends on the conditions and the paddlers’ skill. I assume the race organizers wouldn’t send you into unsafe conditions though, so it’s probably not a bad option. It would be a lot of work to make something you’re not passionate about though, so it might make more…[Read more]

I have tried many adhesives and do not recommend any of them, but two that other people have recommended (I have not used them because they’re not available where I live) are HH-66 and Stabond. They will stick to the fabric, but I don’t know if they’ll stick to a magnet. You may have better luck heat sealing a piece of fabric over the magnet to…[Read more]
