When I made the Voyageur longer it was my first packraft build and I screwed some stuff up.  If I had to do it over again, I’d say no, it is not harder, just more time consuming by adding a couple seams.

I’m thinking about making the Voyageur but haven’t pulled the trigger quite yet. I would be interested in making it self bailing. Would the Big Agnes work as the second floor on a self bailer? Also how hard is it to make the Voyageur longer? What additional material is needed?

Second packraft just finished.  The first one was an 80″ floor on the Voyageur.  Learned a lot in that build and applied it to this build.  This one was much easier and more fun to build.  Good times ahead.  Still needs a spray deck.  And I’m using my ExPed large camping pillow for a seat because it’s only $30 and I don’t need to spend hours making it;)

Finished my packraft last weekend, and took it out for the first time on the Hutt River (NZ) yesterday. It all went great! Still a couple small leaks to sort out and need to put some tie points on.

This is an excellent tip! I had just assumed it would be too difficult to turn the tubes inside out so I didn’t even try it. I’ll give it a go on my next build though!
