The heat sealable coating on the DIY Packraft fabrics welds at around 190 degrees Celsius (375 Fahrenheit), so the answer to this question depends on what you consider to be “high temperatures” – if you mean temperatures you’ll encounter in everyday situations, such as leaving your packraft in a hot car*, then it should be fine, but if you’re planning a trip across the River Styx into Hades, you might want to consider alternative means of transport.

*According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, when air temperatures outside range from 80° to 100° F (27° to 38° C), the temperature inside a car parked in direct sunlight can reach to between 130° to 172° F (54° to 78° C).
