“V” Series Packrafts? (V1, V2, V3)

The “V” series DIY Packrafts (V1, V2, and V3) were the first DIY Packraft models, and they developed into the models that are currently available in the Shop.

The “V” stands for “version” – V1 was the first packraft model I offered for sale, V2 was the second, etc. The V series packrafts have been discontinued, but you will still see pictures and references to them on this site because a few people are still constructing them, so please don’t be confused.

I have refined the DIY Packraft designs over several years so they perform better and are easier to construct than the V series packrafts, and I’ve started naming the new models with different names like “Skeena,” “Telkwa,” (after rivers near my home) because they are no longer sequentially released, with each new model superseding the last; instead, they are designed to fill different packrafting niches.
