Description
Adding an inflatable floor insert to your DIY Packraft will increase its stiffness (better whitewater performance), and it also allows you to convert a conventional packraft into a self-bailer by adding holes in the floor fabric so water drains out.
Fabric: 250 GSM.
Weight: approximately 540-650 grams (1.2-1.5 pounds), depending on packraft model and size.
Color: black
Included inflation Valve: Boston valve
Note that an inflatable floor insert will change the ergonomics of your packraft by raising your feet and seat position by approximately 10 cm (4″). Comfortable ergonomics are highly personal, but for a comfortable seating position with an inflatable floor insert I recommend using a back band, not a backrest reclining against the rear tubes (see the back band/backrest assembly instructions). You also may want to reduce the amount of air in your seat to lower your seating position, or make a seat with shorter baffles than the stock seat. If you want to keep your feet low, you can shorten the inflatable floor insert so your heels are on the packraft’s regular floor.
Assembly instructions are coming soon.
